European Commission’s public consultation on postponing harmonised rules for poison centres notification

European Commission’s public consultation on postponing harmonised rules for poison centres notification

The European Commission has launched a public consultation on postponing the compliance date to submit information on hazardous chemical mixtures for consumer use. Companies have to notify the national poison centres to facilitate adequate emergency health response. The draft regulation proposes to postpone the first compliance date from 1 January 2020 to 1 January 2021.

The deadline of the public consultation is 18 August 2019. ECHA will update its webpages and other material accordingly once the formal decision has been made.
