Denmark accepts harmonised notifications through central EU portal
Denmark is now the third EU country along with Germany and Estonia to accept poison centre notifications through ECHA’s submission portal. By the first compliance date in January 2021, most EU countries will accept notifications only through the ECHA portal.
Before submitting your notification using the ECHA portal, always check that the relevant country is ready to accept your notification. If they are not yet using the ECHA portal, wait and submit your notification later or use the relevant national system.
If you submit your notification to a country that is not yet accepting harmonised notifications, we recommend contacting the relevant appointed body to confirm its validity.

Background
According to Article 45 of the CLP Regulation, companies placing hazardous mixtures on the market are obliged to provide information about certain hazardous mixtures to the relevant national bodies. The national bodies make this information available to poison centres so that they can give advice to the citizens or medical personnel in the event of an emergency. Annex VIII to the CLP Regulation, adopted in March 2017, defines the harmonised requirements for poison centre notifications (PCN) applicable as of 1 January 2021.
All submissions need to follow the harmonised poison centre notification format from 1 January 2021, depending on the use of your mixture. If you have notified your mixtures under a national legislation before the relevant compliance date (2021 for consumer/professional use and 2024 for industrial use), you can benefit from a transition period until January 2025.
