First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately flush eyes with water and continue washing for
at least 15 minutes. Obtain medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin with soap and water.
Obtain medical attention if discomfort persists.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: If patient is fully conscious, give two glasses of water.
Obtain medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Large fires:
Alcohol-type foam or universal-type foams.
Small fires:
CO2, dry chemical.
Product arising from burning: Oxides of carbon. Oxides of sulphur. Oxides of silicone.
Carbon monoxide.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Special fire fighting procedures:
Due to the initial water-silane reaction, use remote spray
monitors or fight fire from behind barriers.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Body covering
protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Prevent runoff.
Handling and storage
Handling: Do not swallow. Do not get in eyes, on skin, on clothing.
Avoid breathing vapour, aerosol and mist. Use with adequate
ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling. Use self-
contained breathing apparatus in high vapor concentrations
Hand protection (in recommended order of use):
4H, butyl, neoprene, nitrile (NBR), PVC-coated.
Eye protection:
Monogoggles.
Skin protection:
Chemical protective clothing.
Other protective equipment:
Eye bath, safety shower.
Engineering controls:
General mechanical room ventilation is satisfactory for
normal handling and storage operations. Special, local
ventilation is needed at points where vapours can be
expected to escape to the workplace air.
Storage: Keep away from heat and flame. Keep container closed.
