Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: Move to fresh air. Obtain medical attention.

Skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Wash off immediately with plenty of water. If skin irritation occurs, call physician.

Eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and consult a physician.

Ingestion: Rinse mouth. If conscious, drink plenty of water. Call a physician immediately. Do not induce vomiting without medical advice.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguish medua: Foam, carbon dioxide (CO2), dry powder.

Specific hazards during fire fighting: In the case of fire, the following hazardous smoke fumes may be produced: hydro-cyanic acid, carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides (NOx).

Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: In the case of fire, wear respiratory protective equipment independent of surrounding air and chemical protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment. Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Environmental precautions: Do not contaminate water. Do not let product enter drains.

Methods for cleaning up: Sweep up and shovel. Avoid dust formation.

Handling and storage

Risk Management Measures: This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediates and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under the Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each manufacturing site. Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.

Safe handling advice: Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at machinery. For professional use only. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Avoid breathing vapors/dust/mist. Do not take internally. Wash contact areas after handling. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practices.

Advice on protection against fire and explosion: Avoid dust formation. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. take precautionary measures against static discharges.

Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.

Further information: Do not allow accumulation of dust.

Advice on common storage: Incompatible with strong acids and bases. incompatible with strong oxidizing agents.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Hygiene measures: Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the product. When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Keep away from food, drink and animal feedingstuffs.

Stability and reactivity

Conditions to avoid: >190 degree Celsius decomposition.

Materials to avoid: strong oxidising agents, strong bases, strong acids.

Hazardous decomposition products: carbon oxides, hydro-cyanic acid, nitrogen oxides (NOx)

Hazardous reactions: no decomposition if stored and applied as directed.

Disposal considerations

Product: In compliance with actual waste regulations, the product must be brought to a suitable disposable plant.

Uncleaned packaging: Packaging, that can not be reused after cleaning, must be disposed or recylcled in accordance with all federal, national and local regulations.
