The export ban only applies to articles where the sum of the concentration of tetra-, penta-, hexa-, hepta- and decabromodiphenyl ether is 500 mg/kg or more.
By way of derogation from the first paragraph, articles where the concentration is 500 mg/kg or more, due to a higher concentration of decabromodiphenyl ether, are exempted from the export ban, provided that the presence of decabromodiphenyl ether is in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2019/1021 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 June 2019 on persistent organic pollutants
