Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information
No acute oral toxicity data are available for the PA6T salt [1,4-benzenedioic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine (1:1)]. Since the acute oral toxicity of adipic acid is essentially the same for terephthalic acid (oral LD50 >5000 mg/kg for both acids) and since PA6T salt is expected to readily dissociate in vivo, the acute oral toxicity estimate will be based on the PA66 salt. The reported oral LD50for the PA66 salt is 4900 mg/kg. Therefore, PA6T salt is expected to have low acute oral toxicity.
No acute dermal toxicity data are available for the PA6T salt. Since the acute dermal toxicity of adipic acid is essentially the same for terephthalic acid (oral LD50 >2000 mg/kg for both acids) and since PA6T is expected to readily dissociate in vivo, the acute dermal toxicity estimate will be based on the PA66 salt [adipic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine (1:1); CAS# 3323-53-3; EC# 222-037-3]. The reported dermal LD50 for the PA66 salt is >7940 mg/kg. Therefore, PA6T salt is expected to have low acute dermal toxicity.
No acute inhalation data are available for the PA6T salt. However, the form of material is liquid in the current manufacture and processing activities, the salt is nonvolatile, and there is a lack of opportunity for aerosolization of the salt in manufacturing. Therefore, no exposure to the PA6T salt via inhalation is expected.
Although no acute toxicity data are available for the PA6T salt, no target organ effects in single exposure studies were identified with the component chemicals

Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on data from component chemicals and similar salts (oral LD50 in rats of 4900; dermal LD50 in rabbits of >2000 mg/kg), the test substance is expected to have low acute oral and dermal toxicity. Although no acute inhalation data were available for the test substance, no exposure to the test substance is expected based on the form of the material in the current manufacturing and processing activities (a liquid), the salt being nonvolatile, and a lack of opportunity for aerosolization of the salt in manufacturing. Therefore the test substance is not classified for acute oral, dermal, or inhalation toxicity according to according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
