Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information
No skin irritation data are available for the PA6T salt [1,4-benzenedioic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine (1:1)]. Although the component chemicals have no to severe skin irritation potential, the effects are likely related to the high/low pH of the administered component substances. The available irritation data with neutral salts suggests that component hazard data are not appropriate for the salt mixture. Since the PA6T salt is expected to readily dissociate, data for the PA66 salt [adipic acid, compound with hexane-1,6-diamine (1:1); CAS# 3323-53-5; EC# 222-037-3] will be used. PA66 salt shows no irritation at a 50% solution (saturated solution) in rabbits. In addition, data on a related substance (Nylon 12/T salt [dodecanedioic acid, compound with hexane-1,6 -diamine (1:1); CAS# 13188-60-8; EC# 236-143-2]) revealed no skin irritation in rabbits. Therefore, PA6T salt is not expected to be a skin irritant.
No eye irritation data are available for the PA6T salt. Although the component chemicals have no to severe eye irritation potential, the available data with neutral salts suggests that component hazard data are likely mediated by the high/low pH and as such are not appropriate for the neutral salt mixture. The pH of the PA6T salt solution is expected to be near neutral. Since the PA6T salt is expected to dissociate in vivo, data for the PA66 salt will be used. Data for the PA66 data shows slight transient conjunctival irritation of the eye using a 50% solution (saturated solution); clearing occurred within 24 hours in rabbits. Therefore, PA6T salt is not expected to be an eye irritant.

Justification for classification or non-classification
Based on data from component chemicals and similar salts the test substance is not expected to be a skin or eye irritant. Therefore the test substance is not classified for skin or eye irritation according to according to EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
