Terrestrial toxicities, based on international guidelines, are available for earthworms and plants.
For earthworms, acute toxicity of Amber Core was observed for Eisenia foetida: 14d-LC50 = 390 mg/Kg soil. The NOEC was considered to be 180 mg/Kg soil.
For plants, toxicity of Amber Core was observed for 3 species (Soybean, Tomato and Oat):
Soybean (Glycine max):
22d-EC50 = 440 mg/Kg (based on emergence) and NOEC = 320 mg/Kg
22d-EC50 = 240 mg/Kg (based on growth) and NOEC = 100 mg/Kg
Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum):
21d-EC50 >1000 mg/Kg (based on emergence) and NOEC = 1000 mg/Kg.
21d-EC50 = 150 mg/Kg (based on growth) and NOEC = 100 mg/Kg
Oat (Avena sativa):
21d-EC50 >1000 mg/Kg (based on emergence) and NOEC = 1000 mg/Kg
21d-EC50 = 220 mg/Kg (based on growth) and NOEC = 100 mg/Kg
Among all the species tested, the most sensitive species were Tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum, based on growth of the plant. Test was performed on this specie following OECD guidelines, and conducted under GLP.
