First-aid measures
General measures:
In case of every product contact or possible exposition inform the supervisor and safety officer.
Wait for further instructions.
Inhalation:
Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately.
If not breathing, if breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs, provide artificial respiration or oxygen by trained personnel.
Move exposed person to fresh air. Keep person warm and at rest.
Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.
In case of inhalation of decomposition products in a fire, symptoms may be delayed. The exposed person may need to be kept under medical surveillance for 48 hours.
Ingestion:
Call a doctor immediately.
Move exposed person to fresh air.
Wash out mouth with water. Keep person warm and at rest.
If material has been swallowed and the exposed person is conscious, give small quantities of water to drink.
Stop if the exposed person feels sick as vomiting may be dangerous.
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person.
Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel.
If vomiting occurs, the head should be kept low so that vomit does not enter the lungs.
If unconscious, place in recovery position and get medical attention immediately.
Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or waistband.
Skin contact:
Get medical attention if symptoms occur.
Flush contaminated skin with plenty of water.
Remove contaminated clothing and shoes.
Wash clothing before reuse. Clean shoes thoroughly before reuse.
Eye contact:
Call a doctor immediately.
Check for and remove any contact lenses.
Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water, occasionally lifting the upper and lower eyelids.
Continue to rinse for at least 10 minutes.
Protect unharmed eye.
Fire-fighting measures
Promptly isolate the scene by removing all persons from the vicinity of the incident if there is a fire.
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
Fire-fighters should wear appropriate protective equipment and selfcontained breathing apparatus (SCBA) with a full face-piece operated in positive pressure mode.
Extinguishing media:
Suitable: in case of fire, use water spray (fog), foam, dry chemical or CO2.
Not suitable: none known
Special hazards caused by the substance: no specific fire or explosion hazard.
Hazardous combustion products:
In case of fire, the following can be released:
nitrogen oxides (NOx)
carbon monoxide (CO)
sulphur dioxide (SO2)
toxic and irritant fumes and dust
Combustion gases of organic materials must in principle be classified as inhalation poisons.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
No action shall be taken involving any personal risk or without suitable training.
Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering.
Provide adequate ventilation. Put on appropriate personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions:
Avoid dispersal of spilled material and runoff or contact with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
Inform the relevant authorities if the product has caused environmental pollution (sewers, waterways, soil or air).
Large spill:
Move containers from spill area. Prevent entry into sewers, water courses, basements or confined areas.
Vacuum or sweep up material and place in a designated, labelled waste container. Dispose of via a licensed waste disposal contractor.

Handling and storage
Handling:
The product is registered under strictly controlled conditions as defined in Article 17(3) of Regulation (EC) no. 1907/2006 and must therefore be handled as such.
Refer to the industry guidance prepared by ECHA for detailed measures.
The prescribed regulations for work, hygiene and relevant laws must be observed.
The usual precautionary measures are to be adhered to when handling chemicals.
Put on appropriate personal protective equipment.
Eating, drinking and smoking should be prohibited in areas where this material is handled, stored and processed.
Workers should wash hands and face before eating, drinking and smoking.
Do not ingest. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing.
Keep in the original container or an approved alternative made from a compatible material, kept tightly closed when not in use.
Empty containers retain product residue and must be handled as hazardous material.
Storage:
Use appropriate containment to avoid emissions and environmental contamination.
Store under lock and key and with access restricted to technical experts or their assistants only.
Store in accordance with national and local regulations.
Existing storage restrictions with other materials must be adhered.
Recommended storage temperature: room temperature
Store in original container protected from direct sunlight in a dry, cool and well ventilated area, away from incompatible materials and food and drink.
Keep container tightly closed and sealed until ready for use.
Containers that have been opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage.
Do not store in unlabeled containers.
Do not leave vessels/containers open.
Avoid product residues in/on containers.

Exposure controls / personal protection
1. Technical protection measures
The substance must be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle including manufacture, purification, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sampling, analysis, loading and unloading of equipment or vessels, waste disposal or purification and storage.
Procedural and control technologies are implemented to minimise emission and any resulting exposure.
2. Organisational protection measures
Only properly trained and authorised personnel shall handle the substance. Proceedures and handling must be well documented.
In the case of cleaning and maintenance works, special procedures such as purging and washing shall be applied before the system is opened and entered.
General protective and hygienic measures:
Ensure that eyewash stations and safety showers are close to the workstation location.
Appropriate techniques should be used to remove potentially contaminated clothing.
Wash contaminated clothing before reusing.
Wash hands, forearms and face thoroughly after handling chemical products, before eating, smoking and using the lavatory and at the end of the working period.
Do not inhale dust / smoke / mist.
Avoid contact with the eyes and skin.
Do not eat, drink, smoke or sniff while working.
Keep away from foodstuffs, beverages and feed.
Wash hands before breaks and at the end of work.
Use skin protection cream for skin protection.
3. Hand protection
Chemical-resistant, impervious gloves complying with an approved standard (EN374).
Check protective gloves prior to each use for their proper condition.
After contamination with product change the gloves immediately and dispose of them according to relevant national and local regulations.
Do not use/reuse contaminated gloves.
Recommended: at all times when handling chemical products and product contact cannot be excluded.
Type: nitrile rubber, NBR
Recommended thickness of the material: > 0.11 mm
Penetration time: level 6 =>480 min
The exact break trough time has to be found out by the manufacturer of the protective gloves and has to be observed.
The selection of the suitable gloves does not only depend on the material, but also on further marks of quality and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer.
4. Feet protection
No specail measures required.
5. Body protection
Wear protective clothing.
Personal protective equipment for the body should be selected based on the task being performed and the risks involved and should be approved bya specialist before handling this product.
6. Eye protection
Safety eyewear /glasses complying with an approved standard (EN166)
Recommended: should be used to avoid exposure to liquid splashes, mists, gases or dusts.
Type: tightly-fitting safety goggles.
7. Respiratory protection
Respirator selection must be based on known or anticipated exposure levels, the hazards of the product and the safe working limits of the selected respirator.
Recommended: wear respiratory equipment in case vapours or dust is emitted.
Type: short term filter device, Filter A-P2
Environmental Exposure Control
Exposure must be minimized by technical measures.
Use special waste water treatment, fume scrubbers, filters or engineering modifications to the process equipment to minimize emissions.
Emissions from ventilation or work process equipment should be checked to ensure they comply with the requirements of environmental protection legislation.
Stability and reactivity
Stability:
The product is stable.
Possibility of hazardous reactions:
Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous reactions will not occur.
Conditions to avoid:
In the case of dusty organic products the possibility of a dust explosion should always be considered. No hazardous reactions when used as directed.
Hazardous decomposition products:
Under normal conditions of storage and use, hazardous decomposition products should not be produced.
Disposal considerations
Methods of disposal:
Examine possibilities for re-utilisation.
Product residues and uncleaned empty containers should be packaged, sealed, labelled, and disposed of or recycled according to relevant national and local regulations.
Hazardeous waste:
This product is regarded as harardeous waste, as defined by EU Directive 91/689/EEC.
Recommended:
In accordance with local authority regulations, take to special waste incineration plant.
For disposal within the EC, the appropriate code according to the European Waste List (EWL) should be used.
