Description of key information
The vapour pressure of MITC (methyl isothiocyanate) was measured / extrapolated using different sources; we found ca 3 kPa at 50°C.

A bibliographic study was made using different sources:
- According to Bauer (1935), vapour pressure of MITC (methyl isothiocyanate) at 10°C equals 12.5 torr (i.e 1.66 kPa), at 50°C 68.5 torr (i.e. 9.13 kPa)
- Using the equation given in the CHEMSAFE data base, vapour pressure of MITC at 35.8°C is 4.89 kPa and 118.82°C 103.43 kPa.
- According to Degussa (1981), MITC (methyl isothiocyanate) has got the following vapour pressure : 5.9997 kPa at 40°C - 9.133 kPa at 50°C and 53.329 kPa at 97.8°C.
Finally a study was made by Hundington for MLPC on behalf of MLPC in 2010 according to the Swiloboff method (OECD 104),
