First-aid measures
Inhalation: Unlikely route of exposure; viscous liquid. If inhaled, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing.
Skin contact: Wash off with soap and water. If skin irritation occurs: Get medical advice / attention.
Eye contact: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get medical attention if irritation develops or persists.
Ingestion: If ingestion of a large amount does occur, seek medical attention. Rinse mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting.
General advice: No hazards which require special first aid measures.
Fire-fighting measures
Unusual fire & explosion hazards: None known.
Specific hazards: Not a fire hazard. The product itself does not burn but may support combustion at very high temperatures.
Fire fighting equipment/instructions: As appropriate for surrounding fire. Substance is not classified as flammable. Avoid uncontrolled run off to waterways and sewers.
Accidental release measures
Containment procedures: Stop leak if safe to do so. Substance is viscous and will spread slowly. Contain or absorb liquids with granules or mats.
Methods for cleaning up: Shovel up used absorbent and transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery. Flush spill area with copious amounts of water.
Personal precautions: Keep unnecessary personnel away. Wear protective equipment to comply with good occupational hygiene practice.
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge undiluted into the sewer. Local authorities should be advised if significant spillages cannot be contained.
Handling and storage
Handling: Normal work wear is suitable.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Storage: no special precautions

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment if handling uncontained material:
Hand protection: PVC or other plastic material gloves.
Eye protection: Wear safety glasses with side shields.
Skin and body protection: Normal work clothing (long sleeved shirts and long pants) is recommended. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. Normally no personal respiratory protection is necessary.
Hygiene measures: Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Stability and reactivity
Stable under normal conditions of use.
No known hazardous reaction / decomposition products.
Disposal considerations
Do not empty into drains, dispose of this material and its container at hazardous or special waste collection point. Dispose of contents in accordance with local, state or national legislation.
Contaminated packaging: Empty containers can be landfilled, when in accordance with the local regulations.
