First-aid measures
Seek medical advice immediately. Ensure that the First Aid Personnel are aware of the product involved, and take precautions to protect themselves (e.g. wear personal protection equipment). Remove affected person from danger area, lay him down. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately. Keep warm, calm and covered up.
If inhaled: Remove the casualty into fresh air and keep him calm. Check for symptoms of cyanosis.
In case of skin contact: In case of contact with skin wash off immediately with polyethylene glycol 400, then with plenty of water
In case of eye contact: Rinse the affected eye with plenty of water, at the same time keep the unaffected eye well protected.
If swallowed: When swallowed seek medical aid immediately and show the physician the packaging or the label of the packaging.
Most important symptoms and effects, both acute and delayed Symptoms: Headache, Disorientation, Nausea Cyanosis (change of colour of lips and finger nails to blue gray).
Methaemoglobinaemia Hazards: Risk of deterioration due to consumption of alcohol.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed: Monitor blood circulation. Keep under medical supervision for at least 48 hours. If necessary, give oxygen. In the event of cyanosis give vitamin C, oxygen, keep out of sun.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: alcohol-resistant foam, dry powder, carbon dioxide, water spray jet
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Full water jet
Specific hazards during firefighting: In case of fires, hazardous combustion gases are formed: Carbon monoxide (CO), Nitrous gases (NOx),
Hydrogen chloride (HCl), Hydrogen fluoride (HF)
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Do not inhale explosion and/or combustion gases. Use self-contained breathing apparatus.
Further information: Fire residues and contaminated firefighting water must be disposed of in accordance with the local regulations.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Wear personal protective equipment. Unprotected persons must be kept away. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Remove persons to safety.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil. Contain contaminated water/firefighting water.
Prevent spread over a wide area (e.g. by containment or oil barriers).
Methods for cleaning up: Pick up with liquid binding materials and if necessary fill in containers capable of being locked.
Clean contaminated floors and objects thoroughly, observing environmental regulations.
Dispose of absorbed material in accordance with the regulations. Containers in which spilt substance has been
collected must be adequately labelled.
Handling and storage
During its lifecycle the substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions and it should be rigorously contained in accordance
with Art. 18. Considering national regulation and best practise standards technical, organizational and PPE measures should be taken to minimize release of and exposure to this substance. Employees shall be regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures shall be controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures shall be adapted. See ection 13 of dossier for details.
Advice on safe handling: Provide good ventilation of working area (local exhaust ventilation if necessary). Avoid formation of aerosols.
Take precautionary measures against electrostatic loading. Observe the usual precautions for handling chemicals.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion: The product is combustible. Vapours may form explosive mixtures with air.
Keep away from sources of ignition - refrain from smoking. Take precautionary measures against electrostatic charges - earthing necessary during loading operations. Observe the general rules of industrial fire protection.
Requirements for storage areas and containers: Keep container tightly closed in a cool, well-ventilated place. Protect from direct sunlight.
Do not store or transport together with foodstuffs. Do not store together with animal feedstocks.

Exposure controls / personal protection
During its lifecycle the substance should be handled under strictly controlled conditions and it should be rigorously contained in accordance
with Art. 18. Considering national regulation and best practise standards technical, organizational and PPE measures should be taken to minimize release of and exposure to this substance. Employees shall be regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures shall be controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures shall be adapted. See section 13 of dossier for details.
Respiratory protection:
If exposure can occure and ventilation of the working place is insufficient wear respiratory protection mask, Filter AEBK, for short term exposure only.
Hand protection:
The selected protective gloves have to satisfy the specifications of EU Directive 89/686/EEC and the standard EN 374 derived from it.
For long-term exposure: Butyl rubber gloves.
For short-term exposure (splash protection): Nitrile rubber. Use gloves once only.
Not suitable: Polychloroprene gloves, PVC or other plastic material gloves
Gloves should be discarded and replaced if there is any indication of degradation or chemical breakthrough.
Please observe the instructions regarding permeability and breakthrough time which are provided by the supplier of the gloves. Also take into consideration the specific local conditions under which the product is used, such as the danger of cuts, abrasion, and the contact time.
Use barrier skin cream. Follow the skin protection plan.
Eye protection: Tightly fitting safety goggles. Safety glasses with side-shields conforming to EN166.
Skin and body protection: Working cloth. If exposure can not be excluded, protective clothing Category III, type 3 - liquid-tight
Hygiene measures: Do not eat, drink or smoke during work time. Remove soiled or soaked clothing immediately and
clean thoroughly before using again. Garments that cannot be cleaned must be destroyed (burnt).
Keep away from foodstuffs and beverages. Clean hands and face during work intervals and after work.
Avoid contact of the substance.
Protective measures: Do not breathe vapours, aerosols or mists. Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Environmental exposure controls.: Do not allow entry to drains, water courses or soil. Contain contaminated water/firefighting water.
Prevent spread over a wide area (e.g. by containment or oil barriers).
Stability and reactivity
No dangerous reaction known under conditions of normal use. Product is stable under normal conditions up to 280°C.
Product is light sensitive and sensitive to air.
Hazardous reactions: When handled and stored appropriately no dangerous reactions are known. Produkt reacts with strong bases,
acids and oxidizing agents.
Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks. Exposure to air. Exposure to light.
Materials to avoid: Strong acids and oxidizing agents
Disposal considerations
Special waste incineration plant, after consultation with operators. Observe local authority regulations.
Packaging that cannot be cleaned and recycled should be disposed of as product waste. For disposal local regulation is binding.
