Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The explosive properties of the test item have been assessed and determined to be negative.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Explosiveness:
- non explosive
Additional information
The test substance was assessed for explosive properties according to EU Method A.14 (Explosive Properties) of Commission Directive 92/69/EEC. The structure of the test item was assessed for chemical groups that imply explosive properties. Examples of such groups are C-C unsaturated, C-metal, N-metal, contiguous oxygen atoms, contiguous nitrogen atoms, N-halogens, O-halogens, N-O.
There are no structural alerts within the chemical structure of the test item and therefore the explosive properties can be predicted to be negative.
Justification for classification or non-classification
Explosive properties are associated with the presence of certain chemical groups in a molecule which can react to produce very rapid increases in temperature or pressure. The screening procedure is aimed at identifying the presence of such reactive groups and the potential for rapid energy release. It therefore follows that if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the substance, it does not need to be classified for explosive properties.
The structure of the test substance was therefore assessed for chemical groups that imply explosive properties; such groups include C-C unsaturated, C-metal, N-metal, contiguous oxygen atoms, contiguous nitrogen atoms, N-halogens, O-halogens and N-O.
There are no structural alerts within the chemical structure of the test substance and therefore the explosive properties can be predicted as negativeInformation on Registered Substances comes from registration dossiers which have been assigned a registration number.
