The substance tris(2 -hydroxyethyl)-1,3,5 -triazinetrione (THEIC) is very well water soluble and has a low octanol/water partition coefficient (log Pow < 4.5). Therefore, there is no bioaccumulation potential. In addition, in a water/ sediment study biological degradation of THEIC was demonstrated. All intermediates during degradation were very well water soluble and thus not bioaccumulative.
