Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Skin contact:
Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water.
Eye contact:
In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Inhalation:
Move to fresh air in case of accidental inhalation of vapours or decomposition products. Consult a physician.
Ingestion:
Rinse mouth. Consult a physician.
General advice:
Always have on hand a first-aid kit, together with proper instructions.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
Water spray, Carbon dioxide (CO2), Foam, Dry powder.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
High volume water jet.
Specific methods:
Standard procedure for chemical fires.
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, its combustion products, or released gases:
Thermal decomposition can lead to release of irritating gases and vapors.
Special protective equipment for firefighters:
In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with the skin and the eyes.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent product from entering drains. Should not be released into the environment.
Methods for cleaning up:
Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder) . Take up mechanically and
collect in suitable container for disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling
Technical measures/Precautions:
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Safe handling advice:
Wear personal protective equipment. When using do not smoke. Handle and open container with care. Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Storage
Technical measures/storage conditions:
Keep tightly closed in a dry, cool and we ll-ventilated place. Store in original container. In winter, the product should be protected from low
temperatures to avoid the risk of crystallization. The temperature should remain above 15 °C.
Incompatible products:
No special restrictions on storage with other products.

Exposure controls / personal protection
EXPOSURE LIMIT VALUES
Exposure controls:
A) Occupational exposure controls
Respiratory protection:
In case of insufficient ventilation wear suitable respiratory equipment.
Hand protection:
Protective gloves.
Eye protection:
Tightly fitting safety goggles.
Skin and body protection:
Lightweight protective clothing.
B) Environmental exposure controls:
Prevent product from entering drains. Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Engineering measures to reduce exposure:
Ensure adequate ventilation, especially in confined areas..
Hygiene measures
When using, do not eat, drink or smoke. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before re-use. General industrial
hygiene practice.
Stability and reactivity
Stability:
Stable under recommended storage conditions. Decomposition starting from >100 °C.
Conditions to avoid:
No special storage conditions required.
Materials to avoid:
No materials to be especially mentioned
Hazardous decomposition products:
No decomposition if stored normally
Disposal considerations
Waste disposal for product:
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations
Waste disposal for packaging:
Store containers and offer for recycling of material according to the environmental protecti on (duty of care) regulations
Further information:
According to the European Waste Catalogue, Waste Codes are not product specific , but application specific
