Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation - Remove to fresh air. Get medical attention for any breathing difficulty.
Skin contact - May irritate damaged skin. Wash off with soap and plenty of water.
Eye contact - Immediately flush eyes with plenty of water, lifting upper and lower eyelids occasionally. Get medical attention if irritation persists.
Ingestion - If large amounts were swallowed, give water to drink and get medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media - Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters - Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions - Avoid dust formation.
Environmental precautions - Do not let product enter drains.
Methods for cleaning up - Sweep up and shovel. Keep in suitable, closed and properly labelled containers for disposal.
Handling and storage
Handling - Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed.
Storage - Keep container closed in a dry place.
Other information - Avoid dust formation.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal protective equipment:
Respiratory protection - Respiratory protection is not required. Where protection from nuisance levels of dusts are desired, use type P1 (EN 143) dust masks. Use respirators and components tested and approved under appropriate government standards such as CEN (EU).
Hand protection - For prolonged or repeated contact use protective gloves.
Eye protection - Safety glasses
Hygiene measures - General industrial hygiene practice.
Stability and reactivity
Storage stability - Stable under recommended storage conditions.
Materials to avoid - Strong oxidizing agents
Hazardous decomposition products formed under fire conditions. - Sodium/sodium oxides, Hydrogen chloride gas
Disposal considerations
Any disposal practice must be in compliance with all local and national laws and regulations. Do not dump into any sewers, on the ground, or into any body of water.
