Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Irritation of the respiratory tract due to excess dust exposure may occur. Remove the exposed person to a well ventilated place and keep at rest.
Skin contact: Wash off with soap and plenty of water.
Eye contact: Rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes occasionally lifting upper and lower eyelids. Consult a specialist.
Ingestion: Give plenty of water to drink. If symptoms persist, consult a physician.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media: The product itself does not burn. Use extinguishing measures appropriate to the surrounding environment.
Protective equipment for firefighters: In case of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Avoid dust formation. Do not breathe dust. Use protective gloves, protective suit and eye protection.
Environmental precautions: Avoid releasing large amounts to waterways or sewers.
Clean-up methods: Sweep up spillage and remove according to local waste regulations.
Handling and storage
General information: Avoid dust formation and breathing of dust. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Ensure adequate ventilation. Keep away from food and beverages.
Handling: Use adequate personal protective equipment as required. Proper ventilation is needed during mixing.
Storage: Avoid dust formation. Proper ventilation is needed in closed storage spaces or closed systems/processes. In closed spaces and in contact with water, ash containing metallic aluminium may form hydrogen gas. Avoid releasing large amounts to waterways or sewers.

Additional information
- Special provisions / remarks / other:
- Substance is not regulated for transporting purposes. Avoidance of dust formation is recommended in order to prevent exposure of humans.
Exposure controls / personal protection
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Occupational exposure controls
Respiratory protection: In case of heavy dusting, dust mask type P3.
Hand protection: Protective over-the-wrist gloves
Eye protection: Goggles with side shields.
Skin and body protection: Protective suit.
Stability and reactivity
Stable in recommended use and storage conditions. No thermal decomposition.
In closed spaces and in contact with water, ash containing metallic aluminium may form hydrogen gas when aluminium is oxidized. This may result in an explosion.
Disposal considerations
Waste from residues / unused products: Dispose of according to local and national regulations.
