advice/attention.
Indication of any immediate medical attention and special treatment needed : Get medical advice and attention if you feel unwell.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Bank fires with firefighting foam. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Powder.
Fire hazard : Under fire conditions, hazardous fumes will be present. carbon oxides (CO and CO2). nitrogen oxides.
Explosion hazard : Risk of explosion by shock, friction, fire or other sources of ignition.
Precautionary measures fire : Exercise caution when fighting any chemical fire.
Firefighting instructions : Clear the danger area.
Protection during firefighting : Do not enter fire area without proper protective equipment, including respiratory protection. Do
not breathe fumes from fires or vapours from decomposition.
Other information : Large amounts of the product should not be allowed to enter drains or water courses or be
deposited where it can affect ground or surface waters.
Accidental release measures
General measures : Ventilate area. Avoid creating or spreading dust.
Emergency procedures : Evacuate area.
Protective equipment : Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye or face protection. Where excessive dust may
result, wear approved mask.
Environmental precautions : Prevent entry to sewers and public waters. Dispose of at a licensed waste collection centre.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up
For containment : Collect spills and put it into appropriated container.
Methods for cleaning up : Wash away remainder with plenty of water.
Handling and storage
Handling
Additional hazards when processed : Local exhaust is needed at source of dust. Take precautionary measures against static
discharges. Use personal protective equipment as required.
Precautions for safe handling : Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Handle carefully. Avoid all unnecessary exposure.
Do not breathe dust. Wear recommended personal protective equipment.
Hygiene measures : Do no eat, drink or smoke when using this product. Wash hands and other exposed areas with
soap and water before leaving work. Take off immediately all contaminated clothing.
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the REACH regulation Article 17(3) for on-site isolated intermediate and, in case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under Strictly Controlled Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Distributor and Downstream Processor/User of the Registrant’s intermediate.
Storage
Technical measures : Provide adequate ventilation to minimize dust concentrations.
Storage conditions : Keep in a cool, well-ventilated place away from moisture. Store in tightly closed containers.
