Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
In case of inhalation: Move affected person into fresh air, keep warm and allow to rest. If there is difficulty in breathing, give oxygen.
In case of skin contact: After contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and plenty of water. In case of skin reactions, consult a physician.
In case of eye contact: After contact with the eyes, rinse with water with the eyelids open for a sufficient length of time, then consult an opthalmologist immediately.
In case of ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Medical treatment necessary.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: Strong water jet.
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases: Emits toxic fumes under fire conditions.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus and chemical protective clothing.
Accidental release measures
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter drains/surface water/ground-water.
Methods for cleaning up: Soak up chemical binding agents and dispose as waste requiring special attention. Clean contaminated objects and areas thoroughly observing environmental regulations.
Handling and storage
Information about protection against explosions and fires: Keep ignition sources away - Do not smoke.
STORAGE: Keep tightly closed. Keep away from heat and open flame. Store in a cool dry place.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Personal Protective Equipment
Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.
Respiratory protection: required when vapours/aerosols are generated. Filter A (acc. to DIN 3181) for vapours of organic compounds.
Eye protection: required
Hand protection: In full contact:
Glove material: nitrile rubber
Layer thickness: 0.40 mm
Breakthrough time: > 480 Min.
In splash contact:
Glove material: polychloroprene
Layer thickness: 0.65 mm
Breakthrough time: > 120 Min.
The protective gloves to be used must comply with the specifications of EC directive
89/686/EEC and the resultant standard EN374, for example KCL 730 CamatrilÒ-Velours (full contact), 720 CamaprenÒ (splash contact). The breakthrough times stated above were determined by KCL in laboratory tests acc. to EN374 with samples of the recommended glove types.
This recommendation applies only to the product stated in the safety data sheet and supplied by
us as well as to the purpose specified by us. When dissolving in or mixing with other substances and under conditions deviating from those stated in EN374 please contact the supplier of CE-approved gloves (e.g. KCL GmbH, D-36124 Eichenzell, Internet: www.kcl.de).
Voluntarily Information.
Other protective equipment:
Flame-proof protective clothing. Antistatic protective clothing.
Industrial hygiene:
Immediately change contaminated clothing. Apply skin- protective barrier cream. Wash hands and face after working with substance. Work under hood. Do not inhale the substance.
Environmental exposure controls and protective equipment:
Water: Do not release into water. If in waste water, waste water treatment is required.
Air: For industrial and professional uses air-filters may be required.
Soil: Do not release into the soil.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid: No specific requirements
Substances to avoid: Strong oxidants, reducing agents, acids, bases
Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition can lead to the escape of irritating gases and vapours.
Hazardous Polymerization: Has not been reported.
Disposal considerations
Appropriate disposal / packaging: Contaminated packing must be completely emptied and can be re-used following proper cleaning. Packing which cannot be properly cleaned must be disposed of.
