Description of key information

Flash point: 114°C (closed cup)

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

As cited 1988 in the DIN safety data sheet of former Hoechst AG the flash point was determined according DIN 51755. Result: 114°C

Another value is given in the DIN safety data sheet 1/1989 of BASF AG. Result according DIN 51758 (equivalent to ISO 2719/2002): 121°C.

These results are supported by a publication of the german national instute "Physikalisch-technische Bundesanstalt" in the CHEMSAFE data base: Flash point > 110°C (recommended value).

Based on these information the lowest measured value of 114°C was choosen as the key value and is regarded as reliable with restriction.
