Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: IF INHALED. Remove person to fresh air and keep comfortable for breathing. Call a POISON CENTER/doctor/.../if you feel unwell.
Skin: Wash with plenty of soap and water. Take off contaminated clothing and wash before re-use. Eyes
Flush eyes with plenty of water. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists, get medical advice/attention.
Ingestion: If a large amount is swallowed, get medical attention.
Most Important Symptoms/Effects
Acute: May cause respiratory irritation.
Delayed: No information on significant adverse effects.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media
Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray, carbon dioxide, regular dry chemical.
Unsuitable Extinguishing Media: None known.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Open and handle container with care. Do not cut, puncture, or weld on or near this container. Grounding and bonding required.
Combustion: oxides of carbon.
Advice for firefighters:
Eliminate all sources of ignition. Fight fire from maximum distance or use unmanned hose holders or monitor nozzles. Cool containers with water from unmanned hose holder or monitor nozzles until well after fire is out.
Fire Fighting Measures:
Avoid inhalation of material or combustion by-products. Move material from fire area if it can be done without risk. Use extinguishing agents appropriate for surrounding fire. Dike for later disposal. Stay upwind and keep out of low areas.
Protective Equipment and Precautions for Firefighters:
Wear full protective fire fighting gear including self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) for protection against possible exposure.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures: Wear appropriate chemical resistant clothing. Wear appropriate chemical resistant gloves.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow to enter into surface water or drains.
Methods and Materials for Containment and Cleaning Up:
Ensure waste is collected and contained. Eliminate all sources of ignition. Ventilate the area. Keep unnecessary people away, isolate hazard area and deny entry. Collect spilled material in appropriate container for disposal. Clean up residue with a high-efficiency particulate filter vacuum.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling
Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes. Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with skin or eyes. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wash with plenty of soap and water. Avoid breathing dust. Use this material with adequate ventilation.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Store in a well-ventilated place. Keep cool. Store below 40 C. Keep container tightly closed. Keep container upright, when not in use, to prevent leakage. Avoid contact with incompatible materials. Store locked up.
Incompatible Materials: strong bases
Specific end use(s): Intermediate.
