Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation: Move affected person to fresh air at once. Rinse nose and mouth with water. Get medical attention.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Rinse mouth thoroughly with water. Give plenty of water to drink. Get medical attention immediately.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Get medical attention. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Eye contact: Remove any contact lenses and open eyelids wide apart. Continue to rinse for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention immediately. Continue to rinse.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Extinguish with foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder or water fog.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture: Metal oxides. Thermal decomposition or combustion may liberate carbon oxides and other toxic gases or vapours.
Advice for firefighters: Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and appropriate protective clothing. Avoid the spillage or runoff entering drains, sewers or watercourses.
Accidental release measures
Wear protective clothing (eye protection, protective gloves, protective clothing).
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains or watercourses or onto the ground.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Absorb in vermiculite, dry sand or earth and place into containers. Collect and place in suitable waste disposal containers and seal securely.
Handling and storage
Handling precautions: The product should be used in well ventilated place. Avoid direct contact with the product. Do not eat or drink while working.
Storage conditions: Keep containers closed.
Instructions as regards storage premises: Adequate ventilation in working area.
Packaging suggested: Lined drums, polyethylene or stainless steel tanks.

Exposure controls / personal protection
No regulatory or governmental exposure limits have been established.
Provide adequate ventilation. Avoid inhalation of vapours.
Eye/face protection: Wear tight-fitting, chemical splash goggles or face shield. (CEN EN166)
Hand protection: Wear protective gloves. It is recommended that gloves are made of the following material: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC). (DIN EN374). It should be noted that liquid may penetrate the gloves. Frequent changes are recommended.
Other skin and body protection: Wear appropriate clothing to prevent any possibility of skin contact. (CEN EN340) Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
Hygiene measures: Good personal hygiene procedures should be implemented. Wash hands at the end of each work shift and before eating, smoking and using the toilet. Wash promptly if skin becomes contaminated. Promptly remove any clothing that becomes wet or contaminated. When using do not eat, drink or smoke.
Stability and reactivity
Stable at normal ambient temperatures
Disposal considerations
Waste is classified as hazardous waste. Dispose of waste to licensed waste disposal site in accordance with the requirements of the local Waste Disposal Authority.
