Administrative data
First-aid measures
- Following inhalation:
Move the affected person away from the contaminated area and into the fresh air.
If irritation persists, consult a physician
- Following skin contact:
Wipe off as much as possible
Remove/Take off immediately all contaminated clothing and footwear
Wash with water
If case of redness or irritation, call a physician
- Following eye contact:
Rinse immediately and thoroughly, pulling the eyelids well away from the eye (15 minutes minimum)
Always consult an eye specialist, even if there are no immediate symptoms
- Following ingestion:
Rinse mouth with water
Call medical assistance immediately and show a copy of the material safety data sheet
- Most important symptoms and effects:
Causes serious eye damage
Harmful if swallowed
Fire-fighting measures
- Suitable extinguishing media:
Water spray. Dry chemical. Powder. Alcohol resistant foam
- Unsuitable extinguishing media:
High volume water jet. Carbon dioxide (CO2)
- Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Avoid whirling up material/product because of the danger of dust explosion
Not classified as flammable according to EEC criteria, but may present a risk in the event of a fire
During combustion: harmful fumes can be released
- Advice for fire fighter:
Contaminated extinguishing water must be disposed of in accordance with official regulations. Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment (Self-contained breathing apparatus. Complete protective clothing)
Accidental release measures
- Personal precautions:
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Do not breathe dust. Avoid dust formation
- Protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Do not attempt to take action without suitable protective equipment
- Environmental precautions:
Contain the spilled material by bunding. Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
- Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Sweep up or vacuum up the product.Wash non-recoverable remainder with large amounts of water. Recover the cleaning water for later disposal.
Dispose of materials or solid residues at an authorized site.
Handling and storage
- Precautions for safe handling:
Avoid any direct contact with the product.
Avoid raising powdered material due to explosion hazard.
Do not breathe dust.
Work in a well-ventilated area
Do not drink, eat or smoke in the workplace. Always wash hands after handling the product
- Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep container tightly closed. Store in a cool and dry place.
