Description of key information
Appearance:
The appearance of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS ) was observed to be Colourless to pale yellow compound.
Melting point:
The freezing point of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was determined to be less than -50 °C.
Boiling Point:
The boiling point of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was determined to be 268°C at 101.3 kPa.
Density:
The relative density of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was determined to be 0.95 relative to water at 20 °C.
Particle sizer distribution (Granulometry):
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance is marketed or used in a non solid or granular form.
Vapour pressure:
Based on the available data in a key study from modelling databases, Modified Grain method (Mean of Antoine and Modified Grain methods) was used to estimate the vapour pressure of test chemical (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) using MPBPVP v1.43 of EPI Suite. The vapour pressure of test chemical was estimated to be 0.0101 Pa at 25 deg C.
Partition coefficient:
The Log P (octanol-water) of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) (CAS: 198404-98-7) is 4.8. Based on the value, test chemical (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) can be considered to be hydrophobic in nature.
Water solubility:
The water solubility of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was determined to be 3.8 mg/L at 20°C.
Surface tension:
The surface tension of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was determined to be 41.4 mN/m at 20 °C and at 3.4 mg/l concentration.
Flash point:
The flash point of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was determined to be 136 °C.
Auto flammability:
The autoflammability of (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was determined to be 255 °C.
Flammability:
The test chemical (1-METHYL-2-(1,2,2-TRIMETHYLBICYCLO(3.1.0)-HEX-3-YLMETHYL)CYCLOPROPYL)METHANOL( MIXTURE OF DIASTEREOISOMERS) was considered to be not flammable liquid ( by Method 92/69/EEC, A9 ).
Explosiveness:
The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with explosive properties.
Oxidising properties:
The study does not need to be conducted because the organic substance contains oxygen or halogen atoms which are chemically bonded only to carbon or hydrogen and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied.
