First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If breathing is difficult or ceases,
give oxygen or mouth to mouth resuscitation. Keep warm and
at rest. Obtain medical attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Wash thoroughly with water and continue for at least 15
minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove contaminated clothing and launder before reuse.
Thoroughly wash all affected areas with soap and water. Seek
medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Wash out mouth and give large quantities of water to drink.
Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water spray, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder.
Product arising from burning: The substance is combustible and will burn when subjected to
heat or a flame, evolving noxious fumes (eg carbon and
nitrogen oxides).

Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus must be worn.
Fight the fire from a safe distance or protected location.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Evacuate personnel from immediate vicinity.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment conforming to
the relevant national or international standards, as
mentioned in section 2.3.10.
Avoid dust formation by damping down with water. Absorb
spillages of solutions with a suitable inert material (eg.
sand or soil). Carefully transfer the spillage to waste
containers, or use a sealed industrial vacuum machine.
Containers filled with waste material must be labelled in
the same way as the original substance containers.
When as much as possible of the spillage has been collected,
flush the spillage area with copious amounts of water to an
effluent drain.
If the spillage was in an enclosed or partially enclosed
area, thoroughly ventilate and test the area before allowing
reacess.
Dispose of waste material in accordance with local
regulations by incineration.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance should be stored, handled and used under
conditions of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with
any local regulations in order to avoid exposure by
ingestion, inhalation, skin or eye contact.
Engineering controls are necessary to reduce exposure to the
substance.
When exposure cannot be prevented or adequately controlled
operators involved in the handling of the substance should
wear an air-fed protective suit designed to protect the head
and skin, plastic gloves and rubber boots.
Such protective equipment should conform to the appropriate
international or national standards.
Furthermore, when respiratory protective equipment has to be
used, it must be capable of adequately controlling exposure,
be suitable for the purpose, and conform to the appropriate
international or national standards.
These measures should be regarded as a minimum.
Storage: Store in a dry well ventilated area, at or below room
temperature in clearly labelled, sealed containers. Keep
containers tightly closed when not in use.
