Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
29 Oct - 4 Nov 1998
1 (reliable without restriction)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study
according to guideline
EU Method A.16 (Relative Self-Ignition Temperature for Solids)
GLP compliance:
Remarks on result:
no self-ignition observed up to the melting point

Performance of the test:

The temperature of the oven was raised to 45 °C (melting point) at a rate of 0.5 °C/min. The substance melted at 45 °C and no self-ignition occured, thus no further investigation was required.

Description of key information

no self-ignition occured up to the melting point of 45 °C (EU A.16)

Key value for chemical safety assessment
