Preliminary tests showed that the melting point of the sample was at about 45-46 °C. In the 20-80 °C range, the melting point was determined as the mean of two onset temperatures of the endothermic process corresponding to the beginning of the solid/liquid transition phase: 43.1 °C both.

The melting point of the purified test material was also measured and it was as expected slightly higher (45.3 °C).

Additional information

The melting point of the substance (technical grade) was determined using DSC method. The value obtained for a purified substance was slightly higher: 45.3 °C.
