Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Administration of oxygen or fresh air. Seek medical
attention.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Flush with copious amounts of water under open eyelid for
several minutes. Protect unaffected eye.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash affected areas with copious amounts of water
immediately. Take off contaminated clothing immediately.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water. Afterwards drink plenty amounts of
water.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide, dry powder
Product arising from burning: Carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, water
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Personal protective equipment:
Avoid inhaling of evolving explosion and fire gases. Use
respiratory protective equipment.
Additional advice:
Residues of combustion and contaminated water for fire
protection have to be disposed according to competent
authority regulations.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Wear personal protective clothing. Avoid dust formation.
Keep unprotected persons away.
Do not drain into surface water or canalisation.
Take up material mechanically (in case of large amounts).
Use appropriate vacuum cleaner for absorption (in case of
small amounts).
Handling and storage
Handling: Indications for safe handling:
Handle in rooms with suitable exhaust air unit only. Wear
personal protective equipment.
Indications for fire and explosion protection:
Protect against heat and keep away from ignition sources.
Static discharges must be avoided. Avoid formation of dust.
Personal protective equipment:
- filtering half mask (EN 140) with particle filter P2 (EN
143)
- protective gloves: category III (EN 374) PVA, synthetic
material, gum or natural rubber (e.g. Camatril (green),
Art.No. 732/KCL; chemical resistance: level 6 (480 min).
- tightly fitting goggles (with lateral protection)
- protective clothing against chemicals of type DIN-EN 465
in case of dust formation
Eye douches should be made available in the immediate
vicinity of the work area and their location should be
indicated conspicuously.
Only agents for occupational safety and health according to
national or international standards are permitted. National
saftey instructions have to be considered.
Storage: Keep away from nourishments, beverage and animal food.
Additional storage conditions:
Handle in rooms with plain, seamless floors only. Keep
containers tightly closed. Protect from heat and direct
insolation.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 1-5 kg: PE-flask
50-80 l-Volume: Fibre drums with inner bag of aluminium
compound and stamylan
