Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Seek immediate medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention.
Do not induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconcious person.
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: The product is combustible and can be expected to evolve
carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide when burnt.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective equipment and self-contained breathing
apparatus should be worn.
Accidental release measures
Provide adequate ventilation. Do not inhale and avoid skin
and eye contact. Avoid entry into waste water system,
surface water and ground water.
Cover with suitable absorbent media such as diatomite; sweep
the material up and place in a sealed container for
disposal. Label container, and dispose of in accordance with
local waste regulations.
Handling and storage
eye/face protection. No smoking, avoid naked flames or other
potential sources of ignition (e.g. electrical equipment).
Do not ingest or apply to the skin as such.
Good personal hygiene routines should be followed.
Maintain adequate ventilation in working areas.
Storage: Store in inert, light impervious, containers.
Keep container tightly closed. Suitable for any general
chemical storage area.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Consists of inert containers that are impervious to light.
The following containers are used:
Quantities up to 500ml = glass
Quantities up to 10kg but more than 500ml = aluminium
Quantities over 10kg = stainless steel

Disposal considerations
spillage, depending on how much was spilt. In that case, the
material would either be purified separately in the
laboratory, or be added to a purification of crude product.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical treatment is practicable to neutralise the
hazardous health properties.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not recommended.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to
the sewage system or the aqueous environment.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None known.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable.
