Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Obtain prompt medical consultation, preferably from an
opthamologist.
Emergency measure - Skin: Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Drychemical fire extinguishers. Foam. Alcohol resistant
foams (ATC type) are preferred. General purpose synthetic
foams (including AFF) or protein foams may function, but
will be less effective.
Product arising from burning: During a fire, smoke may contain the original material in
addition to combustion products of varying composition which
may be toxic and/or irritating. Combustion products may
include but are not limited to: nitrogen oxides, carbon
monoxide, carbon dioxide.
Thermal decomposition: Exposure to elevated temperatures may
cause product to decompose. Hazardous decomposition
products depend upon temperature, air supply and the
presence of other materials. Hazardous decomposition
products may include and are not limited to carbon monoxide,
carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and nitrogen. Toxic,
flammable gases are released during decomposition.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Wear positive-pressure self-contained breathing apparatus
(SCBA) and protective fire fighting clothing (including fire
fighting helmet, coat, pants, boots, and gloves).
Accidental release measures
and properly labelled containers. Evacuate area. Do not
getin eyes, on skin or in clothing. Wash thoroughly after
handling. Do not swallow. Do not breathe mist. Only
trained and properly protected personnel must be involved in
cleanup operations. Keep upwind of spill. Ventilate area of
leak or spill. Use appropriate safety equipment. Prevent
from entering into soil, ditches, sewers, waterways and or
groundwater.
Handling and storage
after handling. Do not swallow. Do not breathe mist. Use
only with adequate ventilation. Keep container closed.
Storage: Store in original unopened container.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: Initially, the substance (XU-12314.00) and the 85-95%
aqueous solution of the substance (XU-12337.00) will be
packaged in drums. Eventually it is possible that it will
be supplied in intermediate bulk containers (tote bins).
Larger bulk quantities are unlikely during the first three
years.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Stability and reactivity
application of direct waterstream to hot liquids.
Dust explosion: Unlikely as the substance is semisolid to liquid, depending
on temperature.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
recycled by adding it to the metal working concentrates.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not recommended. However, because the substance is readily
biodegradable, no pre-treatment is necessary before
discharge to a public wastewater treatment plant.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Contaminated filters, etc. may be incinerated.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended. However, because the substance is readily
biodegradable, no pre-treatment is necessary before
discharge to a public wastewater treatment plant.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: This product, when being disposed of in its unused and
uncontaminated state should be treated as hazardous waste
according to EU Directive 91/689/EEC. Any disposal
practices must be in compliance with all national and
provincial laws and any municipal or local by-laws governing
hazardous waste. For used, contaminated and residual
materials additional evaluations may be required. Do not
deposit into sewers, on the ground, or into any body of
water.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable since the substance will not be available to
the public at large.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable since the substance will not be available to
the public at large.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable since the substance will not be available to
the public at large.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable since the substance will not be available to
the public at large.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable since the substance will not be available to
the public at large.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable since the substance will not be available to
the public at large.
