Description of key information

Uronium hydrogen sulphate and its degradation products (sulfates, as calcium salt, and urea) have been shown to be non-genotoxic both in vitro and in vivo. These observations indicate that urea sulfate is not expected to be a genotoxic carcinogen.
Degradation products of urea sulfate in the human body have been examined in repeat dose (oral, dermal) studies and has shown low levels of toxicity.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Justification for classification or non-classification

No classification is warranted under DSD or CLP for carcinogenicity based on evidence from genotoxicity and repeat dose studies with urea sulfate and its degradation products (sulfate salt and urea).
