Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Based on the Grewer Test (VDI 2263 sheet 1) thesubstance has not be classified as self heating or self igniting
- Executive summary:
The substance was tested using the Grewer-oven (acc.VDI 2263 sheet 1). There was no self ignition up to 434°C that was the maximum temperature that could be reached with the apparatus. At a temperature between 240 and 270 °C melting of the substance was observed. Therefore, the test was repeated with a 1:1 mixture substance : kieselgur. This mixture showed self ignition at about 280°C.
