Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Remove patient from exposure. Obtain medical attention if
ill effects occur.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Immediately rinse throroughly for least 15 minutes with the
lids wide open (eye rinse bottle)
Emergency measure - Skin: Treat hands with protection cream. In case of skin contact
with powders or solutions immediately rinse the areas
affected contionusly with water and then wash with soap and
water. In no case it is permitted to clean the skin with
solvents (e.g. ethanol). Risk of absorption through the
skin.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Rinse mouth with lots of water.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water beam, carbon dioxide, foam, powder.
Product arising from burning: carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitrous gases
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Self-contained breathing apparatus and tightly closable
chemical protective clothes.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Pick up and send back to the manufacturer in a separate
container. Avoid formation of dust. To take the substance
up, priority should be given to the use of an industrial
vacuum cleaner of approved design. Clean the contaminated
area with plenty of water. Adequately label the containers
filled with the substance that has been taken up (if
applicable, in accordance with Technical Rule 201).
Wear personal protective equipment (see in this regard
point "handling").
Handling and storage
Handling: Wash hands and face before breaks and at the end of work and
use protective skin ointment. Aviod inhalation, contact
with skin, do not swallow. In the case of handling in open
systems, any dust that can form must be extracted directly
at the point of origin. If technical extraction or
ventilation measures are not possible or are insufficient,
personal protective equipment should be worm.
Personal protective equipment: Respiratory protection P2,
goggles, gloves (rubber or plastic), protective chlothing
(overall e.g.). Take off contaminated chlothing
immediately. Do not eat, drink or smoke during work.
Due to the potential dust-explosion risk, if dust can form,
potential ignition sources should be removed from the work
area. In addition, measures should be taken to prevent
electrostatic discharges.
Storage: Store tightly closed, dry and protected from light and heat
in PE-bags. Avoid formation of dust. Secure containers
against falling.
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: For transportation, use fiber drums licensed in accordance
with commercial law.

Exposure controls / personal protection
This intermediate is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with the ECHA REACH Guidance on Intermediates. Site documentation to demonstrate safe handling arrangements in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each Manufacturing site.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection: respirator with P3 filter
Eye protection: safety glasses with side-shields
Hand protection: During the handling of the substance according to the intended use protection gloves from nitrile rubber have been proved. During the handling of pure solid substances or powder mixtures a permeation of the rubber material is not to be expected. In case of doubt, especially
during handling of the substance together with organic solvents, the stability of the protection gloves has to be clarified with the manufacturer.
Skin and body protection: Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: Under normal use not to be expected
Chemical reaction with water: None reaction
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recrystallization is possible
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not recommended
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Will not be recommended. Disposal should be in accordance
with local, state or national legislation.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Dissolve or suspend in an inflammable solvent and burn in an
incinerator for chemicals.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance is reacted completely to the desired product
and doesn't reach into the sewage.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: None
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: The substance does not enter the public domain.
