Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Symptomatic treatment, if necessary.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with water or an eyewash solution for at
least 10 minutes. Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Skin: Wash with water. If symptoms occur seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical advice.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide or dry powder may be ued.
Product arising from burning: Products of combustion may contain oxides of carbon and
nitrogen together with hydrogen chloride and some soot.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Protective clothing should be worn together with a
self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Isolate spillage and remove personnel from the afected area.
Moisten spillage with water, sweep up and transfer to waste
containers for disposal. Dispose of at a landfill site or by
incineration at a suitable facility in accordance with local
regulations.
Handling and storage
Handling: Observe the usual precautions for handling organic
chemicals. Avoid ingestion, inhalation and contact with skin
and eyes. Gloves should be worn. If dust is generated a
respirator complying to BS6016 should be used.
Storage: No special precautions.

Stability and reactivity
Danger other than fire: In common with many other organic chemicals in powder form,
the substance could form flammable dust clouds in air.
Chemical reaction with water: None reported.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery for recycling is not possible.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: None known
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: The substance can be disposed of at a controlled landfill
site. Do not discharge into the water. (A650)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Recommended method. The substance can be disposed of by
incineration at a suitable facility using temperatures above
950 deg C. Waste gas treatment to remove nitrogen oxides and
hydrogen chloride should be fitted. (A661)
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not recommended in view of the low solubility, high
stability and the effect on anaerobic sewage treatment.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery from articles is not possible.
The substance itself will not enter the public domain.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable.
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Articles containing the substance may be disposed of as
domestic waste.
