First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Inhalation: Move exposed person to fresh air. In case of indisposition
seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Rinse immediately with plenty of water. If irritation
occurs, seek medical advice.
Emergency measure - Skin: Remove affected clothes immediately. Wash with plenty of
water immediately. If irritation occurs, seek medical
advice.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Drink plenty of water. Induce vomiting. Seek medical advice
immediately.
Fire-fighting measures
Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, carbon dioxide, solid extinguishing agent
Product arising from burning: Carbon oxides, nitrogen oxides, chlorine-, nitrogen- and
phosphorous-containing pyrolysis gases and phosphine
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Use self-contained respirator and protective suit made of
fireproof material.
Accidental release measures
Emergency measures in case of spillage: Ventilate the affected area sufficiently.
Wear protective equipment (see "handling").
Dam in leakages of the substance with sand, if appropriate,
prevent from entering drains or similar by e.g. sealing the
drain manholes with an inflatable plastic cushion; place
damaged containers in a safety drum.
Take up the substance with a suitable absorbent material
(e.g. diatomaceous earth) and place in suitable, closed
containers for disposal.
Seal and label the waste containers appropriately
Dispose of waste material in an authorized incineration
facility.
Handling and storage
Handling: The substance must be stored, handled and used in conditions
of good industrial hygiene and in conformity with local
regulations in order to avoid exposure to skin, eyes and
ingestion and inhalation.
Ingestion and inhalation of the substance as well as skin
and eye contact must be avoided. Engeneering controls such
as local exhaust ventilation are used to reduce exposure to
the substance. Open handling is limited to charging areas
with local exhaust ventilation.
The appropiate personal protective equipment (tested
neoprene gloves, full mask filter P3, disposal (one way
overall) must be worn. Such personal protective equipment
should conform to appropriate national standards.
The working area must be equipped with emergency showers and
eye douches that are conspicuously marked.
Eating, drinking or smoking is prohibited in the working
area.

Storage: Equipe the storage areas with effective ventilation
systems and store in a dry, cool, and dark place.
Use of the originial, tightly closed and secure storage
containers made of polyethylene that are labelled according
to pertinent rules.
Secure the containers against falling.
Avoid residues outside the containers.
Keep away from strong bases (metals and alkaline
hydroxides). Observe the TRGS 514 (storage compatibility).
