Compliance date or end of transition period – what you need to know04 December 2023
In the lead up to the 1 January 2024 compliance date for industrial use only mixtures, ECHA recommends that companies take the time to understand their obligations and options for notifying. In many cases, companies still have until the end of the transition period on 1 January 2025 to notify in the harmonised format.

Commission adopts change to first compliance date for reporting to poison centres
The European Commission has adopted a delegated act amending the CLP Regulation, which will postpone the first compliance date for harmonised reporting to poison centres, for mixtures intended for consumer use, from 1 January 2020 to 1 January 2021.

Compliance date for industrial use only mixtures approaching - January 2024
Importers and downstream users of industrial use only mixtures need to be aware of the upcoming second poison centre compliance date. From 1 January 2024, all newly submitted poison centre notifications must comply with the harmonised information requirements outlined in Annex VIII to the CLP Regulation.

Denmark accepts harmonised notifications through central EU portal
Denmark is now the third EU country along with Germany and Estonia to accept poison centre notifications through ECHA’s submission portal. By the first compliance date in January 2021, most EU countries will accept notifications only through the ECHA portal.
