System-to-system service toptext
The system-to-system service (S2S) is available to support industry who wish to prepare and submit a poison centre notification (PCN) dossier in a more automated way. What is a PCN dossier? Check our ECHA-term bank of multilingual chemical terminology in the related links below.
Under the S2S service, a company can create a PCN dossier directly in their own systems, using the IUCLID-compatible poison centre notification format. The PCN format and the accompanying practical and technical documentation can be found on the Poison Centres Notification format page under Tools.
An automatic S2S transfer allows companies that have created PCN dossiers in their own systems to submit their notifications to the ECHA Submission portal. Dossiers are then forwarded from the portal to all the relevant Member States provided all the relevant language requirements have been met.
An API Specification in Swagger 2.0 format, including Request and Response schema information is available.
For companies using the S2S service, it is possible to perform a connectivity and security test as well as a complete end-to-end integration scenario in test mode, without appointed bodies and poison centres receiving misleading data. The full user experience allows different submission scenarios to be tested with no interference from other users and full validation checks to be done for dossiers.
To request access to the S2S service, take a look at the support material and use the ECHA contact form.
The ECHA submission portal facilitates the submission process, however further information on national submission systems, fees, acceptance criteria and timelines are at the discretion of each Member State. For more details, see the key document Overview of Member States’ decisions in relation to implementation of Annex VIII to the CLP Regulation.
