Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

not flammable on ignition

not pyrophoric

not flammable on contact with water

not self-heating

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Flammability:
not classified

Additional information

Based on the flashpoint, the substance is not flammable on ignition.  Based on chemical structure, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not to be expected. Finally, based on decomposition at 135 °C, the substance is not self-heating.

Justification for classification or non-classification

The available data on flammability of the test substance do not meet the criteria for classification according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008, and are therefore conclusive but not sufficient for classification:

No flammability on ignition as flashpoint is > 260 ºC. Based on the chemical structure and experience in handling and use, pyrophoricity and flammability on contact with water are not expected. The substance has a decomposition temperature of 135 °C. A liquid shows no self-heating behavior if it is not absorbed on a large surface.
