EFFECT PARAMETERS MEASURED
- Immobilisation was recorded every 24 h

RANGE-FINDING STUDY
- Test concentrations: 100 mg/L
- Results used to determine the conditions for the definitive study: No immobilisation was recorded at a concentration of 100 mg/L. Thus, a limit test was performed.

> 100 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
nominal
Conc. based on:
act. ingr.
Basis for effect:
mobility
Details on results:
- Behavioural abnormalities: not observed
- Mortality of control: 0%
- Any observations (e.g. precipitation) that might cause a difference between measured and nominal values: clear and colorless at test start and end
Results with reference substance (positive control):
- Results with reference substance valid? yes
- Limit test: no
- Dose-response test: yes
- EC50 (48 h): 0.15 mg/L
- Other: EC50 value is within the rage of historical data of the laboratory.

The measured concentrations of the test item in the test solution were within the range of ±20% of the nominal concentration. Thus, the effect concentrations were based on the nominal values.

Validity criteria fulfilled:
yes

Description of key information

Additional information

One experimental study according to OECD 202 (GLP) is available investigating the short-term toxicity of ammonium undecafluorohexanoate (CAS 21615-47-4) to aquatic invertebrates. Based on the result from a preliminary range-finding test a limit test with a nominal concentration of 100 mg a.i./L was performed. The actual concentrations were analytically verified by HPLC/UV analysis and it was shown that the concentrations remained stable throughout the exposure (102 mg a.i./L at 0 h, 101 mg a.i./L at 48 h). No immobilization of Daphnia magna was recorded after 48 h. Thus, an EC50 (48 h) of > 100 mg a.i./L was derived.
