Description of key information

The relative density of sorbic acid was determined according to the European Commision Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 A.3 Gas comparison pycnometer method and the OECD 109 test guideline.

Two test series with 3 measurements each were conducted. The mean density calculated from the two test series is 1.202 g/cm3.

The relative density of sorbic acid at 20 °C is 1.20 (compared to water at 4°C).
