Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The melting point of CuGUN was measured according to the OECD 102 guideline using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) using a TA Instruments Q20 differential scanning calorimeter. The cell temperature ramped at 5°C/min to 500°C and the heat flow between the reference and sample is measured.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The thermogram resulting from that analysis of CuGUN shows that the material does no display either a melting or boiling point, but instead goes directly to thermal decomposition beginning at 225°C.
