Key result
Melting / freezing pt.:
> 400 °C
Atm. press.:
106.9 kPa
Remarks on result:
other: no ,elting was observed up to 400ºC.

The measurements were performed at atmospheric pressure of 106.9 kPa. The measuring accuracy was in accordance with BŰCHI Boiling Point 545 apparatus accuracy (measuring accuracy up to 100 ± 0,3 ˚C; up to 250 ± 0,5 ˚C and up to 400 ± 0,8 ˚C). The measurement was performed in the temperature range (start and end): 30 ˚C – 400 ˚C; temperature gradient: 0.5 ˚C/min. The sample of test item was heated to 400 ˚C( maximum temperature range of apparatus), then measurement was completed. The visual observations were carried out observing the tubes through the hole in the block. During the visual measurement the stages of melting of test item were not observed. During a slow temperature rise the samples of test item didn’t change in physical state to liquid form, therefore it was not possible to determine the melting point. The color of test item remained unchanged.

Conclusions:
In the temperature range of 30 ˚C – 400 ˚C no melting of the test item was observed.
Executive summary:

The melting point determination using capillary tube in metal block was performed according to EEC method A.2 “Melting temperature”, which is in conformity with the OECD Guideline for Testing of Chemicals No. 103 “Melting point”. In the temperature range of 30 ˚C – 400 ˚C no melting of the test item was observed.
