Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice: No hazards which require special first aid measures. Immediate medical attention is not required
Inhalation: Remove from exposure, lie down. If symptoms persist, call a physician.
Skin contact: Wash off immediately with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. If eye irritation persists, consult a specialist.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Consult a physician if necessary.
Protection of first-aiders: No hazards which require special first aid measures.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media : Water spray, dry powder, foam, carbon dioxide (CO2)
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons: None.
Hazardous decomposition products: Carbon oxides
Special protective equipment for firefighters: Use personal protective equipment.
Specific methods: Standard procedure for chemical fires.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions: Do not allow material to contaminate ground water system.
Methods for cleaning up: Soak up with inert absorbent material (e.g. sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, sawdust).
Pick up and transfer to properly labelled containers.
Handling and storage
Handling
Technical measures/Precautions: Use only in area provided with appropriate exhaust ventilation.
Safe handling advice: Use personal protective equipment.
Storage
Technical measures/Storage conditions: Keep tightly closed in a dry and cool place.
Incompatible products: Incompatible with strong bases and oxidizing agents.
Packaging material: Store in original container.

Additional information
- Special provisions / remarks / other:
- Not classified as dangerous in the meaning of transport regulations.
Exposure controls / personal protection
Observe OSHA regulations for respirator use (29 CFR 1910.134). Air-purifying respirators must not be used in oxygen-deficient atmospheres.
Ventilation:
All operations should be conducted in well-ventilated conditions. Local exhaust ventilation should be provided.
Other Engineering Controls:
All appropriate engineering controls should be used to minimize exposure potential. Use exhaust ventilation to keep airborne concentrations below exposure limits.
Additive or Synergistic Effects:
None known.
