Additional information

The neat substance is a white powder with a melting point of 146.1°C, boiling point of 350 - 410 °C and density of 1.141 g/cm3.

The substance has a low calculated vapour pressure of 0.00104 Pa at 25 °C.

The substance has a low calculated partition coefficient of 0.37.

The neat substance (Crodasinic LS95) dissolves in water at all concentrations, resulting only in a change of physical form. 40% is the maximum concentration at which Crodasinic LS95 remains as a liquid at 25 °C. At 41% a paste/gel begins to form.

Hazardous Properties:

The substance has a flash point of 267 °C and a preliminary screening test confirmed that Crodasinic LS95 (sodium lauroyl sarcosinate) is not highly flammable.

Based on the structure of the substance it is not expected to have any explosive or oxidising properties.

The substance is not classified for any hazardous physico-chemical properties.
