First-aid measures
General information:
Remove contaminated clothes at once.
After inhalation:
Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance.
After contact with the skin:
Remove contaminated clothes at once. Finally: Wash immediately with plenty of water.
After contact with the eyes:
Rinse immediately with plenty of water for 10-15 minutes and seek medical advice. Continue to bathe eyes during transport to medical practitioner.
After swallowing:
If conscious, give several small portions of water to drink. Seek medical advice and clearly identify substance. Do not induce vomiting.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
extinguishing powder, carbon dioxide.
Extinguishing media which must not be used for safety reasons:
water, foam.
Special exposure hazards arising from the substance or preparation itself, combustion products, resulting gases:
Hazardous combustion products: hydrogen chloride.
Special protective equipment for fire fighting:
Use respiratory protection independent of recirculated air.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
Wear personal protection equipment (see section 8). Avoid contact with eyes and skin.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent material from entering sewers or surface waters.
Methods for cleaning up:
Absorb with a liquid binding material such as diatomaceous earth and dispose of according to local/state/federal regulations. Use neutralising agent.
Handling and storage
This product is exclusively registered as intermediate after Article 18 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 (REACH).
For uses which differ from the use of an intermediate must be proceeded after Article 37 to 39 of Regulation (EC) No
1907/2006 (REACH).
Handling:
Precautions for safe handling:
Ensure adequate ventilation.
Precautions against fire and explosion:
No special precautions against fire and explosion required.
Storage:
Conditions for storage rooms and vessels:
Do not store in containers made of aluminum or other light metals.
