Emergency measures in case of spillage: Remove in dry state and dump in accordance with local
regulations. Wash liquid spillage with copious quantities
of water and discharge in accordance with local/national

Disposal considerations

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: In normal application, more than 90% is bound irreversibly
to the fibre. Recovery of the remaining 10% is not
reasonably practicable.

Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Discharge via industrial effluent is estimated at less than
1 tonne per year after 5 years, distributed over 20 - 30
industrial customers.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: There are good indications that the dye will be destroyed
by anaerobic (literature on allied dyestuffs) and aerobic
(item 5.2) biodegradation.

Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable
