Amount / concentration applied:
TEST MATERIAL
- Amount(s) applied (volume or weight with unit): 0.5 g

Duration of treatment / exposure:
In the first animal: 3 min, 1h and 4h, after consideration of the reactions in the first animal two other animals were treated for 4h.
Observation period:
72 h
Reading time points: 1, 24, 48 and 72 h
Number of animals:
3
Details on study design:
TEST SITE
- Area of exposure: 2.5 x 2.5 cm
- Type of wrap if used: a 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm cotton gauze patch secured in position with a strip of surgical adhesive tape. To prevent the animal interfering with the patches, the trunk of the rabbit was wrapped in an elasticated corset and the animal was returned to its cage for the duration of the exposure period.

REMOVAL OF TEST SUBSTANCE
- Washing (if done): Any residual test material was removed by gentle swabbing with cotton wool soaked in distilled water.
- Time after start of exposure: 3 min, 1h and 4 h (animals 1), 4h (animals 2 and 3)

OBSERVATION TIME POINTS
(indicate if minutes, hours or days)
24, 48 and 72h

SCORING SYSTEM:
- Method of calculation: according to OECD guideline 404 (Draize scoring system)

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Conclusions:
In the present study conducted according to OECD guideline 404 (24 April 2004), three New Zealand White rabbits were dermally exposed to the test item for 4h under occlusive conditions. No signs were detected at any of the observation time points, i.e. 24, 48 and 72h. Based on these results the substance does not need to be classified according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP) and the Globally Harmonized System for Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) with respect to skin irritation/corrosion.
