Ready biodegrability testing of PB-370 has been carried out using Modified Strum Test.
The study was extended to 43 days since the biodegradation curve of PB-370 had not clearly plateau after 28 days.
The percentage of biodegradation values of PB-370 after 39 days for 17 mg OC/L and 43 days for 33 mg OC/L, were 37 and 38% respectively.
An inhibition test showed that PB-370 was not inhibitory to bacteria at a concentration of 33 mg OC/L.
Under the test conditions PB-370 is considered to be non-readily biodegradable
