Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

One experimental study according to OECD 301D indicated that the substance is readily biodegradable according to the OECD criteria. A degradation of 69% was recorded after 28 d meeting the 14-day window criterion. Since the substance is readily biodegradable hydrolysis is not considered to be a relevant degradation pathway in the environment. Moreover, the substance does not contain any hydrolysable groups and is considered to be hydrolytically stable. Considering the water solubility of 18.0 g/L and the negligible adsorption to organic soil and sediment particles (log Koc: 1.31 - 1.49, mean: 1.4, KOCWIN v2.00), the main compartment for environmental distribution is expected to be the water column. However, the Henry’s Law Constant of 1.39 Pa m³/mol at 20 °C indicates moderate potential for volatilization of the substance from the water phase to the atmospheric compartment.
