Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The study does not need to be conducted because OO-tert-butyl monoperoxymaleate has a low octanol water partition coefficient (log Kow = 1.99) and the adsorption potential of this substance is related to this parameter. Therefore, the Koc can be estimated from Kow as outlined in ECHA guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.6: QSARs and grouping of chemicals, May 2008. This is a type of SAR which is directly implemented in the TGD and in EUSES. For OO-tert-butyl monoperoxymaleate the following equation was used: log Koc = 0.60 log Kow + 0.32 (TGD, Part III, 2003: table 4; chemical class: organic acid)

Key value for chemical safety assessment
